WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Market@theSheds was launched in Pretoria in 2014 as part of an inner-city regeneration initiative at 012central. What began as a cultural market quickly became a much-loved platform for music, food, design, creativity and connection.

Over more than a decade, the Market brought together local entrepreneurs, musicians, makers, artists and audiences — building a strong community and a distinctly Pretoria experience.

Today, that legacy lives on in a new way. The experience, network and know-how behind Market@theSheds now shape our private events, Made in Mzansi experiences, market infrastructure and partnership work.

THE CREATIVE NETWORK BEHIND THE MARKET

Over more than a decade, Market@theSheds has worked with a wide network of musicians, designers, makers, food entrepreneurs, creatives and local brands.

That network allows us to build experiences quickly and flexibly — from live music and food to fashion, design, markets and social experiences.

It is this established creative ecosystem that now powers our private events, Made in Mzansi experiences and market builds.

WHY WE DO IT

Market@theSheds is about creating the kind of experiences people actually want to be part of — good music, good food, creative people, new discoveries and an atmosphere that feels alive.

We bring together local talent, entrepreneurs and audiences in ways that feel natural, memorable and genuinely South African.

At its best, the Market creates connection — between people, between ideas, and between a city and the people experiencing it
